"WORTH"

"In creating this piece, my understanding of "worth" underwent a fundamental shift. It moved beyond the standard metrics of time and effort into a deeper inquiry: the "point" of the work itself. I found myself questioning if the piece was worth the emotional weight it carries, and ultimately, how much of that weight a person can truly take.

Worth is a statement that leads into a question—one that I cannot answer. It is a question that must be answered by each individual viewer. In pursuing this work, my goal was not "flawlessness" in the traditional sense, but rather a form of perfection found in pushing the message and the purpose of the painting as far as possible.

Acrylic, "New Earth0-1", Other Mediums

SOLD $1,550

The title is intended to serve as a cue, a connection point to the questions the painting asks of you. Today, our perceptions of what is "good" or "valuable" are often skewed by external voices and societal standards. This piece is an invitation to look past what we are told is valuable and instead discover what we personally understand and appreciate.

I see Worth as an entryway—a stepping stone designed to invite the viewer to linger, to step forward, and to challenge their own perspective."

"Stonewall"

"Stonewall" is an abstract aerial view of the golf course, 'Stonewall' located in Gainsville, VA. I wanted to observe how we as people tend to view our goals. Do we assume all we need is 1 stroke of luck? The perfect hole in one? When does it become less of a human and more of a machine?
